All of the Seaside Coaches are very excited about all of the improved play of the teams. Two good weeks of determined practice showed in the results this weekend. Two more weeks of practice before our next tournament-the Crosstown Showdown. Let’s continue to work together to improve our level of play so we can start taking home some medals! Practices this week are as follows:
14 Silver-Tuesday 6-8pm River Ridge Academy
14 Teal-Tuesday 6-8pm River Ridge Academy
16-White-Tuesday 6-8pm River Ridge Academy

Be sure to let your coach know if you won’t be at practice!
Seaside Volleyball Club’s own Coach Bill will be hosting Beginner’s Passing and Serving Clinics for boys and girls ages 7-11. The first clinic will take place on Sunday, February 9th from 3:30-5:30pm at May River High School. The cost is $25 payable at the door. To register for the clinic, go to: https://forms.gle/mkDHVvmuEP8XPkkb8
After the first tournament, you might want to do something fun for yourself. I have asked Kathleen Madden, parent of two Seaside girls, wife to Coach Bill and owner of Hammer and Stain Bluffton to create a private event for Seaside Parents. It is set for Friday, January 10th. Details are here: https://www.hammerandstainbluffton.com/products/01-10-2020-6-00pm-seaside-private-event-workshop-hammer-stain-bluffton
As everyone is starting to pack for this weekend in Charleston, I asked a panel of “experts” (the 18 Black team) what NOT to forget to pack.
BOTH Uniform shirts
Spandex (bring an extra pair)
Socks (bring an extra pair)
Non-volleyball shoes for outside the court/gym
Sports bra (NOT YOU Grant!!)
Sweatshirt/sweatpants for when outside the gym
Blanket if you get cold (sometimes gyms are cold)
If you’re an R2-don’t forget a whistle
I will keep adding to this list as suggestions come in. Reference this post when packing for each trip!
